You are born to express your unique soul energy on Earth, to create the life your heart desires and to share your gifts with the world. When we experience trauma or situations that interfere with the basic integrity of the authentic Self, it shuts down and goes into hiding. The result is often a withdrawal/
shrinking of the fullest expression of ourselves and a development of defence and coping mechanisms which limit our ability to extend and receive love as well as experience joy. Our perception and experience of reality becomes shaped and coloured by the distresses and limitations of our past stored in the subconscious mind. We become disconnected and fragmented, focused more on defending our wounds rather than expressing and sharing our unique Soul energy. This disconnection will often create inner tension which manifests itself as:
- Depression & anxiety
- Self-sabotage

- Low self-esteem

- Feelings of emptiness and disconnection
What causes our disconnection?
There are generally two scenarios that interfere with the basic integrity of the true Self:
- devaluation of the Self (denial of your worth)
- disempowerment of the Self (denial of your personal power)

The Emotional Freedom techniques such as EFT and TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique) are the tools I use to facilitate your healing in a safe, loving and supportive environment. The steps in this process are as follows:
- Identifying and deconstructing limiting belief systems
- Releasing deep-rooted emotions (shame, anger, sadness, guilt, fear) and traumas
- Reprogramming the mind with belief patterns that serve You, asserting your worth and personal power
- Acknowledging and understanding the needs, wants and interests of your true Self (heart)
- Adopting practices that honour your inner truth and the integrity of your soul

What is The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)?
The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a highly effective, simple and gentle method of releasing negative emotions and psychological distress from the body and mind. EFT belongs to a group of techniques known as Meridian Tapping Techniques (MTT) from the newly evolving field of Energy Psychology. It combines the wisdom of Eastern healing traditions such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Yoga with Western cognitive therapy. Many who have tried EFT have experienced profound and permanent changes in the release and removal of emotional issues such as anxiety, phobias, addictions, anger, cravings, trauma, grief, depression, physical pain, guilt and more. EFT is simple, gentle and powerful. The technique:

How EFT works….
EFT is based on the discovery that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system. The technique is a form of ‘psychological acupressure’ that involves the tapping of meridian acupuncture points on the face and body (energetic stress accumulation points), while verbalizing the problem at hand. There are no surgical procedures, pills, needles or chemicals involved.
Subconscious Mind
Distress, traumas and negative patterns from our lives, are ‘programmed’ into the subconscious mind (much like a file/program that is downloaded on your computer). All distresses affect our physiology: they cause the brain to send electrical impulses and chemicals into the body leading to the experience of negative emotions like anger, sadness, anxiety and fear. When past distresses are left unprocessed, that is, the emotions are left suppressed and unresolved, they become stored in the body’s cells and energy field causing disruptions throughout the body.
The subconscious mind does not know the difference between past, present and future events. Therefore any negative programs/beliefs you have acquired or experienced that have not yet been integrated (discharged and healed,) will keep replaying themselves causing the same conditioned emotional responses and behaviours until they are processed and released from the body and from the body’s energy system.
The tapping in EFT helps:
- Access the distress/limiting belief in the subconscious mind and bring it up to conscious awareness
- Clear the negative emotional charge and trauma from the body
- Remove energetic blocks in the energy body, restoring energy flow
- Reprogram the mind with positive beliefs

What is Healing?
The healing journey is the journey back to who we truly are at the very core of our being. It is the re-discovery of our authenticity, once it is no longer veiled by the limitations and wounds of our past.

As children, we are born connected to our soul, our essence, our core. As we grow older, we are faced with the projections of limiting beliefs and negative programming of our wounded parents, teachers and authority figures. On a subconscious level, we mistakenly buy into the limiting beliefs of worthlessness and powerlessness and carry these wounds into our lives. We hold on to them and develop personality masks to protect the pain of our past. Life takes a turn from expressing and living our true authentic self to defending our wounds in a quest to survive. We forget who we are and we disconnect from our core essence. This process can be described in the following steps:
- Unconscious Love: as a child, you are connected to your unique soul energy, your true Self. The highest expression of this energy is Love. It is reflected in the fearless, uninhibited and open-hearted nature of the child.
- Unconscious Fear: in early childhood, you begin to experience the limiting fear-based projections of your caretakers, which restrict the free expression of your true Self. Because a child absorbs all surrounding energies without a filter, the subconscious mind soaks up the limiting beliefs and carries them through into adulthood. Fear develops unconsciously because it is no longer safe to be your true Self.
- Conscious Fear: life brings experiences into your life that will reflect and activate your subconscious fears, wounds and limiting beliefs (through your emotional reactions) to help you become aware (conscious) of them. This is the point at which we begin to feel the discomfort of being disconnected from the love within ourselves as the accumulated baggage of our past separates us from our essence for love and fear cannot co-exist. Healing begins when we decide to reconnect and rediscover who we are, transforming fear into love.
- Conscious Love: as you begin peeling the subconscious layers of fear, sadness, shame, guilt and anger associated with the negative programming of the past, you begin to lift the veil and re-connect with your Core-the very essence you so freely expressed as a child. You become your Self again.
Healing is the path we undertake from step 3 to step 4. As we heal, we remember ourselves. As you let go of old belief systems and allow yourself to release the emotions attached to them, you start to open the space for your true Self to express itself. Healing is the journey of clearing space for love within ourselves.
